Meet the
Medical Weight Loss Team

Founder

Michael Glickman, MD

Founder

Dr. Michael L. Glickman, MD, is a triple board-certified family medicine, lifestyle medicine, and obesity medicine physician who has been practicing since 2013, and founded Revolution Medicine in 2021.

Revolution was born from the idea that there is something missing in the US health care system, which has been designed to treat disease rather than prevent it. Nearly three-quarters of adults are overweight, yet doctors have little time to promote wellness, with limited advice beyond “eat less, exercise more.”

Dr. Glickman’s aim has been to correct this imbalance by creating a holistically tailored program that considers the whole person, mind and body, to promote weight loss, and prevent and reverse chronic disease.

When he’s not taking care of patients, Dr. Glickman spends time with his wife and two children. To stay healthy, Michael weight trains, plays tennis, and cooks nutritious meals. He is a classically trained violinist and enjoys practicing in his free time. Michael graduated from the Florida State University College of Medicine and completed his residency at VCU-Fairfax Family Practice / INOVA Fairfax Hospital.

Physician Assistant

Jacqueline Rehan, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Jacqueline previously worked as a surgical Physician Assistant with nearly 6 years of Bariatric and General Surgery Expertise. The exposure gained through this position put her in emergency rooms, inpatient settings, and managing comorbidities like asthma, sleep apnea, heart disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, PCOS, and psychiatric conditions. This patient population expanded her abilities, helping her gain expertise in various areas of medicine.

As enriching as her work in surgery was, Jacqueline had a greater desire to work at the front end of healthcare and discovered an affinity for Functional Medicine. The thought of preventing disease or the need for complicated surgeries really aligned with what she hoped her impact as a healthcare provider would be.

Jacqueline has now become passionate about educating clients on a Whole-Food, Plant-Based lifestyle to help restore their microbiome, heal their body, and treat and prevent a multitude of diseases. She currently works with clients individually as well as in group settings and treats people with diabetes, heart disease, obesity, autoimmunity, hormonal imbalances, chronic stress, brain fog, and more.

She is deeply passionate about gut health, stemming from her bariatric and general surgery experience, and is thrilled to be joining Revolution Medicine, uniting all of her previous work experience into one role! Working with Dr. Glickman gives Jackie the opportunity to give patients what she thinks they really deserve: an integrative approach to healthcare that values a patient’s needs and welfare above all else.

Physician Assistant

Dana Wightman, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Dana’s passion for health and fitness started early on. She recalls studying the old food pyramid on the back of cereal boxes and planning her daily exercise routine as far back as grade school. However, it was as a college student that this personal interest blossomed into a career path. She went on to obtain a dual Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology.

During her graduate training, she had the privilege of learning from many cutting-edge integrative medical doctors and other functional and holistic health practitioners. With these tools, she began her practice as a nutritionist and personal trainer at weight loss clinics, fitness centers, private country clubs, and doctor’s offices. There she developed personalized diet and exercise programs for her clients and patients.

Despite her passion for the work, Dana often felt limited in her ability to help some of her patients – specifically, those with chronic disease and difficulty losing weight no matter how strict they adhered to her program. She set her sights on becoming a Physician Assistant to better understand medicine and the disease process.

Dana practiced as a PA for 7+ years in a variety of clinical settings including primary care, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, and plastic surgery. Now, as a part of the Revolution Medicine team, she combines her experience managing chronic diseases like obesity, heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia with her knowledge and passion for holistic health and wellness to create a truly integrative approach.

When she is not working, you can find Dana at home with her husband and two boys. She loves cooking for her family and is always finding new ways to sneak more veggies into their food!

Physician Assistant

Odette Gutiérrez del Arroyo, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Odette is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, but grew up “all over” due to her father serving in the US Air Force. Prior to joining the Revolution team, she worked as a medical provider in family medicine in both a private practice setting and for the Department of Defense at an Army military base. In addition to weight management and obesity medicine, Odette also provided annual in-home health assessments for Medicare patients, which she enjoyed very much!

During her time in primary care, Odette gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in treating and managing many chronic diseases including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity, among many others. Her background in primary care, coupled with her 7 years as a group fitness instructor (ZUMBA and cycling), formed a unique and synergistic set of skills which fueled her interest in joining the Revolution team.

Odette strives to be a medical provider that encourages and empowers her patients to take charge of their health journey through education and knowledge, which she believes is the foundation to sustainable, long-term healthy lifestyle changes and outcomes.

As a bilingual provider, Odette loves being able to offer medical services in both English and Spanish. She understands that communicating about one’s health can be challenging, especially in a language that may not feel your own. She hopes to give all her patient’s the space to express themselves comfortably.

When not in clinic, you can find Odette exploring all the D.C. area has to offer with her husband, son, and dog. Additionally, she loves pursuing her passion for the performing arts by singing, dancing, and acting in Musical Theatre productions with local theaters. She hopes to meet you soon, and can’t wait to get started in helping you reach your health goals!

Physician Assistant

Rachel Mack, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Rachel is a board-certified Physician Assistant and member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Her mission is to help her patients feel their best and enhance their lives by helping them take control of their health.

She has always wanted to practice medicine in a way that treated the root causes of disease, rather than just providing a temporary fix. She had the opportunity to do this firsthand when her father was diagnosed with diabetes and cancer and given two years to live. After his diagnosis, her whole family overhauled their lifestyle, experiencing intimately the power that lifestyle has to transform health and increase quality of life.

Rachel aspires to help her patients also experience their own transformation. She believes in treating the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. She started her career by working at an urgent care/primary care clinic, where this passion for Lifestyle Medicine has given her the opportunity to help her patients lose weight, as well as halt, better manage, and reverse common chronic diseases such as high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure.

Outside of serving patients, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and family (including her father, who is beating the odds!), taking her dogs for walks, gardening, cooking plant-based meals, serving on the Health Ministries team at her church, and serving as an ambassador for Love One International, a non-profit organization devoted to helping critically ill children in Uganda get access to lifesaving medical care.

Family & Obesity Medicine Physician

Jewel Osborne-Wu, MD

Family & Obesity Medicine Physician

Dr. Osborne-Wu is a double board-certified family medicine and obesity medicine physician with a passion for bringing patients to a state of true wellness. She believes that not only are preventive medicine and a healthy lifestyle essential for reversing or preventing chronic diseases, but it is also crucial for achieving optimal well-being. Using an integrative care approach has always been key to providing the best care for her patients.

After earning her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Osborne-Wu completed a residency in Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and prior to joining Revolution Med, spent 7 years of her career working at Neighborhood Health, seeking to bring compassionate equitable care to underserved populations while working within a multidisciplinary clinical setting. Throughout her time at Neighborhood Health, she came to realize how much lifestyle impacts a person’s health and how imperative it is to take the time to address these factors to truly help a patient heal. While working in primary care, she realized that the current arrangement of the modern medical system does not provide the support to provide patients with the tools they need to thrive in wellness. She has worked with nutritionists, health coaches, and life coaches over recent years and appreciates the value that a holistic team can bring to a patient’s journey towards not only healing but thriving.

Outside of work, Dr. Osborne-Wu loves spending time with her three children, exercising (including dance, pilates, yoga, and a little CrossFit), cooking new cuisines, and traveling. She speaks English and is professionally fluent in Spanish.

She spent 6 years working as a board-certified Physician Assistant in Internal Medicine before joining Revolution Medicine. During her time in primary care, she developed a passion for cardiometabolic and mental health and often saw how these systems influenced each other.

She carries a love of people, their stories, and how environment and genetics come together to shape health outcomes. Like many of her colleagues, she came to Revolution Medicine seeking a holistic and evidence-based model to address the obstacles her patients have in overcoming obesity, insulin resistance, PCOS, cardiovascular disease, and eating/feeding disorders. She loves meeting people where they are and empowering them to make sustainable change.

Emily loves acting, singing, hiking, skiing, pickleball, board games, and the occasional nap. She is the parent of a very busy toddler and is figuring out how to be a soccer mom. She, herself, is in pursuit of a healthy, inclusive, and joyful life and hopes to curate this in her patients’ experiences.

Samantha Brand, MD

Family & Obesity Medicine Physician

Dr. Samantha Brand is a double board-certified family medicine and obesity medicine physician with 6 years of primary care experience prior to joining Revolution Medicine.

With a Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Dr. Brand has a strong interest in the biochemical processes that regulate body weight. Her professional interests include the treatment and prevention of cardiometabolic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension.

With more than 70% of people in the Tidewater area experiencing overweight or obesity, Dr. Brand recognizes that an affordable and accessible weight loss program is much needed in her community, which is why she joined Revolution Medicine. Her hope is to also extend this great program in Virginia to her neighbors in North Carolina.

To stay healthy, Dr. Brand speed walks wherever she goes and meal preps. She enjoys dancing and even making her own dance choreography. Most of all, she loves spending time with her husband and two children.
